Lecythidaceae Literature Catalog

The goal of this catalog is to present bibliographic information about Lecythidaceae, especially Neotropical members of the family. I have included information about Old World members of the family, but their coverage is much less complete than that provided for the New World species. This is an ongoing project and, thus, not all references have been added and the citations already entered are not as complete as they will eventually become. When complete, each entry will include notes about the publication and, when possible, PDF files for the most important publications (see Aublet’s Histoire des Plantes de la Guiane Françoise). Scroll to the bottom of the bibliographic entry to access the PDF file of a given publication.

Other sources of bibliographic information are the protologues for species. Although some can be found in this catalog, protologues are also attached to the names of species. To access this information, search the Neotropical Lecythidaceae Taxonomic Names Catalog; for example, see the entry for Eschweilera longirachis.
