KSC Mycological Herbarium Collections
The fungal collections from the Kansas
State University (KSC) Herbarium were donated to The New York Botanical Garden in March 1997. Of the 32,000 fungal specimens received from KSC, approximately 13,000 have been incorporated into the NYBG Herbarium. The remaining specimens belong to published exsiccati already represented at NY and have been donated to other institutions. During the course of the incorporation project, Curatorial Assistants Kathy Duguay, Ellen Bloch and Anne-Grit Felsch cataloged the label information from these specimens into the NYBG institutional specimen database. These data, through the efforts of Senior Information Manager Kevin Indoe and the NYBG Computer Services Department, are available for searching.
