Catalogue of Vascular Plant Species of Brazil
This catalogue contains records of specimens in the families listed below. Be aware that not all Brazilian specimens are yet catalogued. Currently available records include those of all specimens from tthe eastern states, some from the central and northeastern states, many from Acre, and all types.
Click on a family name to see a list of names of genera and species in the family.
Click on a genus or species name to see a list of detailed specimen records.
Clicking on a family name below initiates a search of the database that generates
the list of taxa dynamically. This will take some time for those families with many
records (i.e., hundreds or thousands). In general, the search time in seconds can be
estimated by dividing the number of records in a family by ten. For example, generating a checklist of a family with 3087 records in the catalogue will take approximately 309 seconds (3087/10) or about 5 minutes.
