Ecotours

Each year the Institute of Systematic Botany offers a small number of natural history tours led by members of the Science staff. Destinations visited on previous tours include Galapagos, the Brazilian Amazon, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Andean Ecuador, and France.

Costa Rica: A Natural History Tour
February 2-11, 2004

Our tour of southern Costa Rica will focus on the plants and birds of the different habitats that we will visit as well as allow time for swimming and snorkeling at Costa Rica’s beautiful beaches.

Northern Spain: Wildflowers, Birds, & Butterflies
June 12-22, 2004

The emphasis of our tour will be on the exceptional diversity of wildflowers in this scenic region of Spain. However, we will also have time to explore the picturesque medieval villages and sample the local cuisine.
